P2 - C&D Poster - Concept Illustrations

The ad agency gave the first billboard assignment to a dozen illustrators. They were so impressed with the variety of the images submitted, they decided the campaign should express an eclectic collection of cats and dogs in the city.  They purchased unlimited rights to a dozen illustrations and  commissioned a dozen more from selected illustrators to use for the billboard campaign.

The ad agency also came up with another idea to promote Dr. Bob: creating dog and cat posters as give-aways to patients and their owners, and also sell them on the vet's website.

For assignment P1 you created an object illustration of a cat and a dog. For assignment P2 you will create one or two more finished illustrations— of a cat or a dog  or both, that go beyond just illustrating the animals physically. You will create a process illustration showing what cats and dogs “do and their benefit” to their owners, and/or you will create a concept illustration expressing what cats and dogs “mean or stand for” to their owners.

Strive to make this the best image(s) you can thus far as an illustrator.

The final illustration(s) are due posted on your blog the beginning of class on Thursday, September 21st. We will be working on the illustrations in-class each day, so bring files and materials to class each day.

The final printed illustration(s) are to be printed to fit on an 11x17 sheet and posted pn the crit wall Tuesday, September 28th at 8:30 AM sharp.
